Poetry Month 2023 Post #10: “Morning Poetry”

April is #NationalPoetryMonth and I am posting a Poem-A-Day. Today’s post is a short poem written during one of the early mornings of my sabbatical last summer.

Morning Poetry

Every morning is poetry
Dew emerging or descending
Suggestion in the still anticipation
Beautiful dark embrace recedes
Sonnets and symphonies erupt
The magnitude of turning
burning time and light
makes its claim on us again.
